The purpose of L.I.N.K internships are to give you a relevant real world experience in a job field that you may not have had previous experience in and that you may be interested in. My internship will be working at Durango Fire and Rescue. I will be shadowing Firemen and Paramedics there spending two weeks in emergency operations seeing the day to day career of a Firefighter/Paramedic and get to experience if that is a field i would like to later pursue. I will also spend a week in shadowing the fire inspectors to gain back ground knowledge on how fire inspection works. The link to Durango's Fire and Rescue site is http://www.durangofirerescue.org/
